Dreamin'

So...I'm not sure what's going on, but more and more people are telling me that they are having dreams about our child. Every person that has dreamed about this little one says it's a girl. Now I really haven't had any dreams until this past week and I'm sure in response to everyone having these crazy dreams. We're at a ratio of 4:1. 4 saying it's a girl and 1 saying it's a boy (me being the only one dreaming that it's a boy). I found this to be both funny and interesting so I thought I'd open the floor to anyone else out there dreaming of little Sprout and wondering what you think we're having. So let it roll...this should be interesting.

Nursery Update

I just wanted to update everyone on the progress of the nursery. I keep saying I'm going to post pictures of the room and well you see where I've gotten on that. As most of you know, we got the crib from a co-worker of mine for free. All we had to do was give it a fresh coat of paint, which Jeff so graciously did for me. Well, that paint has been on the crib for 2 weeks now and is still curing! I called Sherwin Williams today and they said because it's an acrylic based paint it can take 30 days to cure. So...we have a fan on it and need to leave the bedding off of it until it's cured. So, just so you know I'm not withholding information from you all, that's the story. Disappointing of course, but when it does dry it's suppose to be practically indestructible...which is fabulous. We are suppose to get the dresser/changing table this week (hopefully) and the glider is on order and should be here in about 4 weeks. Yep - just in time for the arrival of this little guy/gal. Hopefully I'll have atleast a couple of weeks to enjoy the room pulled together before having to make full use of the room. I think I will be able to breath easier knowing it's done! So...when all this comes together, I will post it for all to see. Until then, wish us luck on it all pulling together on time! We've only got 6 weeks left! Yikes!!

This Little Piggy . . .

we had our first shower yesterday and made out like bandits. from a cake made of diapers (stuffed full of stuff too!) to the crib bedding, all the bath stuff we'll ever need, blankets, toys, lotions, this wonderful little piggy bank, etc. man, sprout's gonna be spoiled. my sincere thanks to michelle's work family who continue to amaze me with their love, support, and generosity.

you think michelle will let me have Guns N' Roses Sweet Child o' Mine cued up ready to play in the delivery room if sprout turns out to be a girl? if i would have been a girl i'd like to be welcomed into the word with GNR's BEST SONG EVER!

now to find the perfect "welcome to the world, boy" song. maybe madonna has something? suggestions?
