okay . . . so back when I was about 8 weeks, jeff and i looked at each other and posed the question 'do you want to know what it is?'. well, i immediately without question said, 'well, yeah!' like why would i not? i said, 'what about you?'. he says, 'no way. i don't want to know.' we still disagree and we're both being pretty head strong about it. so i figured i'd post this dilemma and take a poll of what you guys think and why. I've been online and read the pros and cons and really it comes down to personal preference. i just thought it would be both fun and interesting to see what all the family and friends think of the idea, 'to know or not to know'.

I say know. Unless everything you buy in preparation is unisex, it's easier when you are shopping to know who you are buying for.
As far as Kim went, she wanted to know who she was talking to and felt more bonded after months of calling them by name , before they were actually here.
Just my thoughts.
Yes, find out and I'll shop! I remember someone once going for an ultrasound and was unsure if they really wanted to know or not, so they asked the lady to write down the sex of the baby and seal it in an envelope and give it to them. They had it in hand to find out anytime they wanted to know. (they later opened it)
We say find out. It was a lot easier for us to know we were expecting 2 girls and a boy. We knew we couldn't go all pink or all blue, since both were on the way. Plus, it will make the song selections that much easier once you know. And you don't have to go though that awkward "it" stage any longer. We found out at 15 weeks, so you better decide soon.
oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I say find out! I just expected a girl since that's all that was in our immediate family. God surprised us with a healthy and happy Boy! You'll be even more excited about their arrival once you can buy gender specific items, and start really working on a nursery!
Oh, I worded that wrong..we did find out at 17 weeks, and God surprised us THEN that it was a boy.
