My appointment got moved to yesterday so I'm a little late on posting. It went really well though and I am to resume normal activities. Everything has checked out fine and I am under no threat. She said that the contractions I was having Friday night ended up just being braxton hicks, but it was good that I went in because we don't want them to be that consistant. She gave me the green light to go to Florida and wrote me a prescription for the 'stop contraction' medicine for the 'just in case it were to happen again'. We've been really looking forward to this trip and hated the idea of possibly missing it. No more worries now though. Thanks for all your prayers!
Nothing more to really update other than I've lost a pound. Do you think it's from all that dog-gone water? heeheehee. When she said I had lost weight, I looked at her and asked if that was okay, she laughed and said, 'Don't you worry, it'll catch back up to you believe me'. hmmm. So this might be the last that I post about my weight. : )

Hospital - Round One
Friday night was my first hospital visit to Baptist. Good news though, the baby and I are both fine and I am now pre-registered at the hospital and won't have to go though that next time.
I had somewhat worried all day on Friday because I just wasn't feeling as much movement throughout the day like I had been and I kept feeling crampy. I just wasn't feeling too normal. I decided to wait to contact the doctor until the end of the day to see how I felt in the evening because that's usually when I get the most activity from the baby and I'm the most relaxed. I had also just discovered what braxton hicks contractions were and I thought that's really all it was.
Well, Friday night we decided to go see Pops (Jeff''s dad) and things just didn't seem to be getting any better, actually I was feeling worse. I decided to go online to see if I could find anything and low and behold, all I'm seeing is 'go to the doctor - they are contractions!'. A little freaked out, I decided to call my doctor and hear it from her. She didn't seem too concerned, but said to go on in to the hospital to be checked just to be safe. So, that's what we did.
They hooked me up to a fetal monitor and saw that I was having real contractions that were 2-3 minutes apart. They weren't unbearable (only 20-40 on the scale...out of 100), they just felt like cramps and tight stomach, but I had to find out what was going on. She tested for infection, negative, and tested for something else that would tell if the baby would be born within 2 weeks (i forget what it's called), that came back negative as well - thank you Lord! So, then she gave me shot to stop the contractions, then sent me home on 2 ambien so I could get a good nights rest. She also put me on bed rest for the weekend so all I get to do is hang out on the couch or the bed and only get up to go to the bathroom. Now hopefully, I won't have to stick to this because I am not a good lazy person like this. It's already driving me crazy and it's only Sunday morning!
I go back to my doctor on Wednesday and so I'll post more to update everyone. We're suppose to be going to Florida for a long weekend Labor day weekend, but I'm not sure if she'll let me go or not. You guys pray for me and the baby that everything will be fine and no more bedrest! I really want to take this trip, but don't want to jeapardize anything either. I promise I'll take it easy and slow down! : )

Week 28 Appointment
Not much happening this visit so I'll be short and sweet.
Results are in! No gestational diabetes and all bloodwork came back fine! Yay!
- Baby's heart rate was in the 150's.
- I need to start keeping track of baby's movements, ensuring they move every hour until week 35-36 (they'll slow down then from lack of space).
- I'm doing well according to my belly measurements and am right on with my given due date (Nov 3).
- I've gained 19lbs total, which she said was perfect and right where I needed to be. I need to drink more water. I've only been drinking approx. 36-48oz a day...I need 120oz!!! Yikes!
- I now start going every 2 weeks and have the rest of my appointments scheduled through the end of October.

Crib Bedding
So here's the long awaited photos of the crib bedding we've selected. The room will be painted this weekend in a light fresh green. I'm hoping to find a fully upholstered orange glider too...but we'll see on that. I like to think of this bedding as a 1950's inspired pattern translated into modern design. When I saw this for the first time, it clicked immediately and I new it was the perfect set for us. The colors are green, orange, yellow and two shades of blue...a light and dark peacock color. As you can see, it's not 'super baby' with characters, bears and bunnies, but rather a nice clean modern design that's just fresh and fun. I'll take pictures of the room as is all pulls together, but I know many have been wanting to see our bedding selection so...here it is!

A uniter not a divider . . . bringing together fruits and vegetables. kinda funny but kinda true too. it sums up the tomato but it also sums up our community. one of the first booths we went to had these great beanies that michelle and i couldn't pass up so here it is - on baby's night light.
